Aquassure Accessible Baths to Pitch Safer Bathing in the Dragons’ Den

Season 10 of Dragons’ Den is going to be a little bit more accessible when this Kelowna company gets their chance to pitch.

Aquassure Accessible Baths received confirmation yesterday that they have secured a spot to pitch to the Dragons on Dragons’ Den for Season 10. They have been invited to Toronto for filming in early May. They will be shipping one of their wheelchair accessible bathtubs to Toronto for the show. Continue reading

Montreal HomeExpo

This weekend Elaine St. Laurent of Baignoire Adaptée St. Laurent in Laval will be showcasing at the Montreal HomeExpo! She will have with her a selection of fantastic products including Aquassure Accessible Bath’s Active Living Spa and floor models of the products we carry and love. The show runs from the 5th to the 8th with adult admission rate at $15 for adults.

To Remember

When I was in middle school my vice principal, and a talented girl in the grade below me, put together a moving skit during our annual Remembrance Day assembly. It was the reading of letters between a daughter at home, and her father at war. To remember is key for the Canadian spirit, for our culture, and to ground us to home. To remember means that we celebrate the successes of the past, learn from the tragedies of history, and honour the path that made the country we live in the place it is today. We remember and honour the many people that took part in that path to give us home.

In a beautiful symbol of remembrance, Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Café from 2012 is a beautiful listen in which he discusses the memory and story of his friend David Kilberg, a Holocaust survivor. The link to this is below:

National Senior Safety Week

November 6-12 is National Senior Safety Week and Aquassure Accessible Baths would like to remind everyone that Preventing Falls can save you or your loved one’s life. Over one third of seniors will fall this year, many will fall more than once; some will die. Most don’t discuss their falls with their healthcare providers until they are badly injured. This past Tuesday, September 9th, our dealer Home2stay Accessibility in Vancouver, BC took part in this year’s Rehab Equipment Expo at the Richmond Olympic Oval. REE at the ROO is an annual rehabilitation equipment exposition that connects both the public and rehabilitation specialists with the manufacturers, specialists, and dealers behind the products used to enhance today’s standard of living and recovery.
