Counting Down to the Dragons Den

Early this morning Aquassure Accessible Baths’ Matthew Longman, CEO and Shari McDowell, CFO jumped onto a flight out of Kelowna heading for Toronto. They will be arriving early in preparation for their pitch day on CBC’s prime time television show Dragons’ Den. It was just March when the small Okanagan business got the phone call that changed everything. After a successful audition, they had been invited to present their accessible slide-in bathtub, the ADL Spa, to the dragons.

“We’re ready, and we’re excited. We know we have a great presentation and a product that changes lives,” says Shari McDowell, CFO.

As for nerves, the small staff manning the showroom while they’re away have full faith in their employers. “I’m sure they’re nervous, we’re all nervous, but it’s excited nerves. They used to build the tubs, they know them inside and out. Matthew is an excellent presenter, and so is Shari. They’re going to blow the Dragons away!”
