Keeping Active: Move it and Use it or Lose it!

Good cardiovascular health (heart and circulation)

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Improves endurance
  • Improves balance, sleep, strength
  • Reduces risk of strokes!
  • Maintains mental health and memory

How do you get active?

Walking

  • Try indoor walking/running tracks or walk at the mall when the weather is too cold or too hot.
  • Use walking sticks for stability when walking outside.

Recumbant cycling – less strain on back and hips than regular cycling

Snowshoeing

Sports
